Gracechurch Container Line, was acquired by Borchard Lines in 1989. Gracechurch Container Line operates a container shipping service from Liverpool, Cardiff, Dublin and Belfast to Leixoes, Castellon, Piraeus, Limassol, Ashdod, Haifa, Beirut, Alexandria, Mersin and Salerno and vice versa. The main ports of call are served with a market leading five day frequency. Fast connections to other ports serviced by the Borchard Lines service network are also possible with transhipment. As part of the Borchard Group of Companies, Gracechurch Container Line has access to numerous agents, a number of its own overseas offices and specialises in through transport of containers from door to door. The majority of the containers and road transport vehicles used are fully owned by the Borchard Group, including a current fleet of 24 wholly owned Gracechurch Container Line vehicles and trailers operating in the Liverpool area. Gracechurch Container Line is managed with an emphasis on reliability, regularity and added value, combined with a high degree of personal service. As part of the drive to excel in these goals and meet market demands, vessels operating on the Gracechurch service are no more than five years old and can operate at speeds up of to 18.5 Knots. In recognition of the need for defined systems, formal control and systematic monitoring of all activities associated with the service, Gracechurch Container Line operates a quality management system which is accredited in accordance with the standards of ISO 9001-2000. |
